day-icon Day 1 : Arrival Indore - Ujjain Approx.: 55 Kms

Upon arrival at Ujjain airport/railway station, you will be received by our representative who will be there for your welcome. After a warm welcome, transfer to your already booked hotel in Ujjain.

Ujjain, a city located in the state of Madhya Pradesh, is a divine land that offers a unique blend of solitude and spiritual experiences. This temple town is renowned for hosting one of the largest religious gatherings in the world, Simhastha

(Kumbh Mela), which occurs every 12 years on the banks of the Shipra River.

Arrive hotel and check in at the hotel (Early check in subject to the room’s availability). Proceed to visit Ujjain local city tour and visit the following monuments.

  • Mahakaleshwar Temple: One of the twelve Jyotirlinga, this temple is a major pilgrimage site dedicated to Lord Shiva. The Bhasam Aarti here is particularly famous.
  • Kumbh Mela: Ujjain hosts the Kumbh Mela every 12 years, attracting millions of pilgrims who come to bathe in the holy waters of the Shipra River.
  • Sandipani Ashram: Associated with the childhood of Lord Krishna, this ashram is a serene spot for visitors.
  • Ram Ghat: A prominent bathing ghat on the Shipra River, especially crowded during festivals.
  • Harsiddhi Temple: A significant Shakti Peeth that attracts many devotees.
  • Bada Ganesh is a prominent and revered temple dedicated to Lord Ganesh located in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh.

Mandu or Mandav literally meaning the City of Joy is a small town in the state of Madhya Pradesh in India, now best known for a fort built by Baaz Bahadur in the memory of his queen Rani Roopmati. Between 1401 and 1561 it was the important citadel of a Muslim rulers of central and north India.

Arrive hotel and check in at the hotel. Proceed to visit Mandu local city tour and visit the following monuments.

Roopmati’s Pavilion: The pavilion was originally built as an army observation post. From its hilltop perch, this graceful structure with its two pavilions was a retreat of the lovely queen, from where she could see Baz Bahadur’s palace and the Narmada flowing through the Nimar plains far below.
Jahaz Mahal: This 120-meter-long ‘Jahaz Mahal’ built between two artificial lakes, Munj Talao and Kapur Talao, is an elegant two-storeyed palace. With its open pavilions, balconies overhanging the water and open terrace, Jahaz Mahal is an imaginative recreation in stones of a royal pleasure craft.

Hoshang Shah’s Tomb: It is India’s first marble edifice and is adorned with a magnificently proportioned dome, marble lattice work, porticoed courts, and towers to mark the four corners of the rectangle. Shah Jehan sent four of his great architects to study the design and draw inspiration from the tomb.
Jami Masjid: Inspired by the great mosque of Damascus, the Jami Masjid was conceived on a grand scale, with a high plinth and a huge domed porch. One is struck by the enormousness of the building’s proportions and the mosque is enclosed on all sides by huge arcades with a rich and pleasing variety in arrangements of arches, pillars, number of bays, and rows of the dome above.

Morning breakfast, check out from the hotel & proceed to Omakreshwar, enroute visit Maheshwar local city.

Maheshwar is a picturesque and historic town located on the banks of the Narmada River in the Khargone district of Madhya Pradesh, India. Known for its rich cultural heritage, religious significance, and beautiful landscapes, Maheshwar is often referred to as the “Varanasi of Madhya Pradesh.” It is a major pilgrimage site for Hindus and is also famous for its traditional Maheshwari sarees and scenic beauty.

Ahilyabai Fort & Palace: The massive fort stands on a hill with the holy Narmada on one side and the modern town of Maheshwar on the other side. The Ahilyabai fort and palace house a beautiful life-size statue of Rani Ahilyabai on a throne and a Shiva temple.

  • EK Mukhi Datta Temple: Located close to Sahastradhara waterfall, Ek Mukhi Datta Temple is a temple dedicated to lord Datta. Dedicated to Lord Dattatreya, this temple is constructed on 30 acres of area. The temple has admirable architecture and fantastic history.
  • Raja Rajeshwari Temple: Shri Raj Rajeshwar Temple is a shivalay at present and lights 11 lamps (AKHAND DEEPAK) since many cenuries said to be for ever. The rajrajeshwar mandir is believed to be trance place of Somvanshiya Sahastrarjun  Kartviry Arjun.

Later drive continue to Omkareshwar, check in the hotel. Overnight stay.

Omkareshwar temple in Mandhata is located on an pranva shaped (shape like “?”) island at Narmada. Mamaleshwar (ancient name Amareshwar) temple is located on the south coast. Both the temples are described as equal status. Both of these Shivlingas are considered as Jyotirlingas.
