As your much-awaited journey with Shree Swaminarayan Tourism begins, here’s how your first day will unfold based on your selected tour departure:

Guests Departing from Mumbai (Scheduled Group Departure)
Guests who have opted for the Mumbai to Mumbai tour should report at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Domestic or International Airport, Mumbai, three hours prior to the scheduled flight departure time.
Upon arrival at Leh Airport, your Shree Swaminarayan Tourism Tour Manager will meet you and ensure a smooth transition to the hotel or the sightseeing spot, as per the itinerary.

Joining & Leaving (J&L) Guests – From India or Anywhere in the World
If you are joining the tour from any part of India or overseas by making your own arrangements, please ensure you receive complete guidance for a smooth arrival, hotel check-in, or joining at the sightseeing point.
Your Shree Swaminarayan Tourism Travel Advisor and Tour Manager will coordinate and guide you accordingly. The Tour Manager will meet you directly at the first destination, as per the itinerary shared with you.

Important Notes:
• For Joining & Leaving guests, flight tickets and airport transfers are at your own cost.
• To avail of the group airport transfers:
• Your arrival airport must match the scheduled group arrival airport.
• Your arrival time should be at least one hour before the scheduled group flight arrival time.
• On the last day, your departure flight must be scheduled after the group’s flight from the same airport in order to avail the group airport transfer.
• Hotel Check-in Time in India: Standard check-in time is 12:00 PM (12:00 hrs) or later.
• If your flight arrives in the morning, we include a sightseeing activity before check-in to make the most of your time.
• In case of flight rescheduling—arriving earlier on the first day or leaving later on the last day—Shree Swaminarayan Tourism will take care of additional meals or snacks, if any.
• We recommend keeping your travel documents, valuables, and money safe during the tour.
• Always keep Shree Swaminarayan Tourism emergency contact details and your Tour Manager’s mobile number with you during the journey.

Today we have free time for acclimatization. In the evening, we enjoy a short Meet & Greet session.

Today we visit Shey Palace – used to be the summer retreat of the royal family of Ladakh, Rancho School – also known as Druk White Lotus school, Hemis Gompa – a Himalayan Buddhist monastery which is believed to be the wealthiest and the biggest monastery in Leh, followed by a photo stop at Thiksey monastery. Further we visit Sindhu Ghat to view the Sindhu River – one of the longest rivers in Asia and Hall of Fame War Museum – a museum constructed by the Indian Army in memory of the brave Indian soldiers who laid down their lives defending the motherland in the Indo-Pak wars.
In the evening, we enjoy the Folk dance show.

Today we proceed to Nubra Valley via Khardung La – one of the world’s highest motorable pass. Nubra valley – the Shyok River meets the Siachen River to form this large valley separating the Ladakh and Karakoram ranges. Upon arrival we visit the Maitreya Buddha – perched on top of a monastery, it is the statue of Jampa Buddha, noted for its intricate carvings, brilliant craftsmanship and vivid colours.
Later we visit Hunder Village and Cold desert – the only place in India where twin humped camels are found.

Today we proceed to Turtuk village which was first opened for the tourists in the year 2010, while visiting Turtuk we pass by Thoise Airport (Military Airfield), then we visit Turtuk wooden bridge and Shyok war memorial. Later we walk through the Baltic village. Further we visit Thang village (Subject to operation) – the Northern most and the last village at LOC.
Here we take a photo stop at LOC point.

Today we proceed to Pangong Tso, also known as Pangong Lake – one of the world’s highest saltwater lakes. The most notable feature of this lake is its ever-changing hues. The lake acts as an important breeding ground for a large variety of migratory birds like Brahmani Ducks, Rare black necked cranes and Seagulls.

Important Note: As nights in the Pangong Lake region experience extremely cold and windy weather during this period, till 10th May 2026 overnight stay will be arranged at Tangste/Durbuk, which offers comparatively more comfortable stay in experience.

Today we proceed to Leh via Chang la [pass], one of the highest motorable road in the world. The name Chang La literally means “Northern Pass” (Chang means North and La means Pass).
In the evening, we visit Shanti Stupa – built by the Japanese monks to promote world peace. Then we have free time for shopping.

Today we proceed to Kargil via Fotu La [Pass] and Namki La [Pass]. Kargil is known as the location of the Indo-Pakistani border war of 1999.
En route we visit the Patthar Sahib Gurudwara – a beautiful Gurudwara sahib constructed in the memory of Guru Nanak, Magnetic Hill – also known as Gravity Hill where vehicles defy the force of gravity, Sangam of the rivers Indus & Zanskar – two of Himalaya’s great rivers; Zanskar and Indus merge to form a spectacular view, Alchi Gompa – known for its magnificent and well preserved 11th & 12th century wall paintings, Moon land – a place that resembles the surface of the moon, Lamayuru Monastery – one of the largest and oldest gompas in Ladakh.
In the evening, we arrive at Kargil.

Today we proceed to Drass, here we visit Drass War Memorial, also known as Vijay Memorial – built in the memory of the martyr soldiers of the 1999 Kargil War. Then we visit Mulbekh Monastery.
In the evening, we arrive at Leh.

Group Guests:
Guests traveling on the scheduled group flight will proceed to the airport as per the group’s departure time.

Joining & Leaving (J&L) Guests:
J&L guests will proceed to the airport after the scheduled group tour concludes.
If your flight timing and airport match the group’s, you may join the group airport transfer. Otherwise, the cost of reaching the airport, cruise terminal, railway station, or bus terminal will be borne by the guest.
