KEY INFORMATION

Tour Briefing & Luggage:

A comprehensive tour briefing will be conducted by our team at your hotel in the evening.
Each participant will be provided with a duffel bag to pack essential items, with a weight limit of 5kg. Larger luggage can be stored in the hotel cloakrooms, as carrying big bags or suitcases on the helicopter is not permitted.

Useful Tips:

Packing: Travel light, as you’ll be flying by helicopter. Essential items include warm clothing, comfortable footwear, a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, and a water bottle.
Altitude Sickness: Be aware of potential altitude sickness, especially at high-altitude locations like Yamunotri. It’s advisable to consult your doctor and carry any necessary medications.
Respect for Nature: Follow local customs and regulations. Please avoid littering and show respect for the sanctity of the pilgrimage sites.
Photography: Feel free to capture beautiful moments, but kindly observe local guidelines and any restrictions regarding photography.

Day wise travel itinerary

Day 1 : ARRIVAL AT DEHRADUN

Your journey begins with a warm welcome at Dehradun Airport or Dehradun Railway Station, a day prior to the commencement of your Char Dham Yatra. You will be transferred to your hotel for check-in. Enjoy a restful overnight stay in Dehradun, accompanied by a delicious dinner to prepare you for the spiritual journey ahead. Dehradun is the starting and ending point for your Chardham heli-Yatra.

● We provide pickup from Dehradun (Airport/Railway Station/Bus Stand)

Arrival Timing:

● Ensure you reach Dehradun in time to check in at the hotel by 3:00 PM for a smooth start to your Chardham Yatra the following morning.

Day 2 : HEADING TO MAA YAMUNOTRI

● The Char Dham Helicopter Yatra will begin with a flight from Dehradun to Kharsali Helipad. Upon arrival at Kharsali, passengers will be warmly welcomed by our ground staff and transferred to the Yamunotri Temple. To reach the temple, all tourists will be carried by palkis or horses. The journey from Kharsali to Yamunotri Temple is approximately 6 km. After completing the Darshan, you will return to the helipad. Overnight stay will be at Kharsali.

Early Morning :

● Check out from Dehradun hotel.

● Depart from Sahastradhara Helipad.

● Arrive at Kharsali Heli-Base.

Upon Arrival at Kharsali :

● You will be greeted by our ground staff and transferred to your hotel, located near the helipad for your convenience.

● Morning Breakfast: Start your day with a delicious and energizing breakfast at the hotel.

● Yamunotri Darshan: Embark on a palki journey to the revered Yamunotri Temple to seek blessings.

Day 3 : HEADING TO MAA GANGOTRI

On the Third day, you will fly from Kharsali Helipad to Harsil, a stunning and picturesque valley in Uttarakhand, often referred to as Mini-Switzerland. The Gangotri Temple is located approximately 22 km from the Harsil Helipad, and the drive takes around 50 minutes. Your stay for the night will be at Harsil, situated just 2 km from the helipad.

Our ground staff will assist you throughout your Gangotri Darshan. After the temple visit, you can enjoy a delicious lunch at the resort, followed by some leisure time to relax.

You may want to visit the nearby village for a pleasant evening walk, where you can purchase pure woolen items such as sweaters, shawls, and mufflers made by local tribal women.

Early Morning :

● Check out from the hotel.

● Depart from Kharsali Helipad.

● Arrive at Harsil Heli-Base.

Upon Arrival at Harsil:

● Welcome by ground staff and check-in to the Harsil Village Resort

● After breakfast move to visit Gangotri Dham for darshan

Day 4 : HEADING TO KEDARNATH

On the fourth day, you will fly from Harsil to Guptkashi. Upon arrival, our ground staff will escort you to your hotel. After check-in, you will board a shuttle helicopter to the Kedarnath Temple. After your darshan, you will return to the hotel. If you wish to spend the night at Kedarnath Temple, it will be at your own expense. Please note that in case of bad weather/ unforeseen reasons, if you are unable to fly back, you will be required to stay overnight at the temple at your own cost.

Morning Schedule:

Check out from the hotel and proceed to the Harsil Helipad.
Arrive at Sersi/Guptkashi Heli-Base.

Upon Arrival at Sersi/Guptkashi:

You will be welcomed by our ground staff and check-in to your hotel, conveniently located near the helipad.
Shuttle services to the Kedarnath Ji Shrine will be arranged from here,

Note: Shuttle service timings may vary depending on weather conditions and operational schedules.

Day 5 : HEADING TO BADRINATH

● On the Fifth day, you will fly from Kedarnath to Badrinath. Upon arrival at the Badrinath Helipad, passengers will be transferred to the hotel, located near the temple. Our ground staff will assist you in taking Darshan at the Badrinath Temple.

● In the evening, we recommend a visit to Mana Village, the first village after the international border with China. It offers a unique cultural experience and a glimpse of the region’s heritage. The night will be spent at Badrinath.

Morning Schedule:

● Enjoy a delicious breakfast at your hotel

● Depart by flight for Badrinath.

● Upon Arrival at Badrinath Helipad:

● You will be welcomed by our ground staff and transferred to your hotel, conveniently located near the helipad.

● You will be assisted in visiting the Badrinath Temple for Darshan.

● In the evening, visit to Mana Village (if time permits)

Day 6 : RETURN TO DEHRADUN

On the Sixth day, there is an opportunity to participate in the Special Abhishek Puja at the Badrinath Temple (at your own cost). The puja begins at 4:30 AM and lasts for two hours, offering a unique chance to sit inside the temple and witness the Shringar Darshan of the deity up close. After the darshan, you will return to your hotel for breakfast.

Following breakfast, you will fly back to Dehradun. Upon arrival at the Dehradun Helipad, you will be transferred to the Airport/Railway Station, marking the end of your unforgettable helicopter tour. We hope you take home cherished memories from this divine journey.

Morning Schedule:

After Breakfast, Depart for Dehradun by Helicopter.

Upon Arrival at Dehradun:

Passengers will be dropped off at Dehradun Airport, Railway Station, or Bus Stand.

Note: If you wish to extend your stay in Dehradun for an additional night, please inform us at the time of booking. Extra charges will apply for extended stays.

Note: The itinerary and the mentioned flight plan are subject to slight adjustments based on weather conditions, unforeseen circumstances, or operational requirements.

Payment Term

● PAYMENT TERMS:

We accept payments via bank transfers, cheques, and UPI
The booking is to be done in advance with a deposit of 50% of the total amount
Passengers will not be permitted to board or commence the tour unless full and final payment for the tour has been completed.

● CANCELLATIONS POLICY:

If passengers cancel their booking, following cancellation charges will be applicable –

More than 31 Days prior to travel date 25,000 Per Person will be deducted
30 to 20 days prior to travel date: 25% of total tour cost will be deducted
19 to 15 days prior to travel date 50% of total tour cost will be deducted
14 – 08 days prior to travel date: 75% of total tour cost will be deducted
07 Days or less prior to travel date: No Refund
No show: No Refund.
After commencement of the tour: No Refund.

Additional Services: Any additional services and goods other than our inclusions (extras food, beverages, or other services), if required, will be at your own expense

BAD WEATHER SITUATION:

If we are stuck in a bad weather situation on any particular day out of the 05 days, we will still try to finish the darshan on next day. Suppose there is bad weather on 3rd day and we are unable to fly to kedarnath then we will try and do both kedarnath and Badrinath on 4th day.

In case we are completely unable to visit any Dham due to bad weather situation we will refund proportionate money. This means that if due to any reason we are unable to do 02 dhams then we will refund 50% payment after deducting Dehradun accommodation, meals or any other consumed services.

In case of bad weather if the stay gets extended beyond 5 nights, then passengers will have to bear the cost of additional night stay. Cost applicable for Additional night stay will be INR 8000 Per person per Night.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

● COVID TRAVEL GUIDELINES

COVID protocols must be adhered by the passengers as per the effective mandate of the government. Without adhering to the government guidelines, boarding shall be denied to the passengers without refund.

● SEATING CAPACITY

The seating capacity of our helicopter is 06 passengers.

● HELICOPTER WEIGHT LIMITATION

Maximum weight capacity of the helicopter is 450 kg (excluding baggage weight). Passengers are taken on board depending on the load and temperature conditions, and the pilot’s call will be final. Hence, passengers are required to provide us with their exact body weights at the time of booking.

● OVERWEIGHT CHARGES

Overweight charges are applicable @ INR 2500/ kg. This will be chargeable to passengers weighing above 75 kg. But excess weight will only be calculated on the total excess weight above the total permissible (450 Kg) weight of all the group members combined, i.e., permissible weight = 75 Kg x (No. of pax).

Discrepancy & Exceedance of Weight:

Passengers must submit their accurate weights at the time of booking. Submitting incorrect weights may lead to passengers being debarred from boarding without any refund

● ARRIVAL DATE: Your arrival date should be one day prior to the flying date.

● RESCHEDULING OF BOOKING

Rescheduling your booking to any future or prior travel date, will be done subject to availability, and on payment of 15% of the total tour cost. This will be permitted only if informed at least 30 days before the arrival date. In case rescheduling is requested less than 30 days prior to the travel date, then the booking would be treated as cancelled, & and a fresh booking will be given subject to availability, after the levy of applicable cancellation charges.

Important Notes

TOUR GUIDELINES:

VIP Darshans are subject to the orders issued by the temple authorities and State government.
In view of our helicopters’ weight-carrying capacity, “SHREE SWAMINARAYAN TOURISM” reserves the right to shuffle passengers between helicopters to manage the right weight for Life safety and hills flying CAR Section 08 Regulation of India. Therefore, passengers travelling together may not be accommodated in the same helicopter flight.
FIXED FLIGHT TIMINGS: This is a Daily Fixed Departure Helicopter tour, and departure timings of each destination is fixed. Therefore, passengers must ensure they report as per the scheduled ETDs. However, “SHREE SWAMINARAYAN TOURISM” reserves the right to change/postpone the timings of flying one day prior, subject to weather/force majeure reasons.

BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE: Only one baggage weighing a maximum of 5 kgs is allowed per passenger. It is not permitted to carry suitcases or big travel bags in the helicopter therefore, duffle bags will be provided to all passengers on the day of arrival.
Arrival/departure details must be provided at the time of booking so that we can smoothly operate the tour.
Arrival day Dehradun Hotel check in time at 3PM.
Kedarnath shuttle service: Passengers will be ferried to Kedarnath ji in a shuttle service flight. And it is likely that passengers travelling together may not be accommodated on the same flight.
Additional Charges: In the event of any sudden increase in taxes or levies imposed by the State Government or temple authorities, the additional costs will be borne by the passengers.
Yatra Registration: If online yatra registration is mandatory, passengers will be required to complete the registration prior to travel.
Clothing and Footwear: Comfortable clothing, such as woollen jackets, track suits or Kurtas, are recommended for the tour. For footwear, passengers should wear sports or trekking shoes for convenience and comfort.

On-Site Assistance: We have our own dedicated crew at each of the Dham locations. They will be available to assist passengers throughout the journey.
Child Policy: Child above 2 years of age considered full Ticket.
If an infant (2 Years, Max 12 Kg weight) is part of your group, their weight will be included in the total permissible weight for the group. It is essential to ensure that the combined weight of all passengers, including the infant, does not exceed the maximum allowable weight limit for safety and operational reasons.
Any donations, tips, pitthu, extra porter charges shall be borne by the passengers.

Airport Transfers: Airport transfers will be provided on the arrival day and the last day of the tour at Dehradun.
Mobile network connectivity at Harsil & Badrinath. BSNL, Airtel & Jio are the main telecom services providers that work in these regions.
Health and Safety Advisory: All temples in the Char Dham sector are located at high altitudes. Passengers are advised to carry necessary medications and warm clothing, as temperatures can drop drastically during the evenings and nights.

For Senior Citizens and Those with Medical Conditions: We strongly recommend that senior citizens and individuals with medical concerns consult a doctor and undergo a medical check-up before commencing the yatra. A medical check-up is especially important if a passenger has any pre-existing health conditions.

Force majeure & bad weather refund policy

In case of tour departure does not take place from Dehradun on Day One due to bad weather or unforeseen reasons a refund will be given after deducting charges for the utilized services (Transportation, Hotel, Food & Accommodation, and flight preparation charge of INR 5000 Per Person +GST)

Uncovered Dham Refunds: In the event of missing any Dham due to bad weather or unforeseen reasons a refund of INR 20,000 per person / per Dham will be provided.

WEATHER & FORCE MAJEURE DISCLAIMER

Flying in hills is subject to weather condition, and many Force Majeure factors like delayed Air Traffic Clearances/Permissions, VVIP movements, valley

flying by Indian Air Force (NOTAM), sudden occurrence of technical snag in aircraft, illness of flying crew or late reporting of the passengers at the helipads, among others. Therefore, passengers must be prepared to face any eventuality and inconvenience in case of such scenarios.

BAD WEATHER & FORCE MAJEURE POLICIES:

Whether bad weather, technical snags, or any force majeure reason beyond Our control results in the cancellation of the flight or delay, Company will not be liable in any way for the cancelled or delayed flight. However, refunds will be given to clients as per our refunds policy. Any kind of inconvenience caused because of cancellation of flights is beyond the control of the operator. No compensation or reimbursement for accommodation, transportation, meals, or any other extra travel expenses done by the passengers shall be offered in the event of cancellation of a flight.

In case the tour departure does not take place from Dehradun on Day One due to above reasons, the tour will be considered as cancelled and refunded as per our refund policies. However, in case the passengers would like to consider taking the tour on the next available date, a fresh booking can be made. Our team will propose the available options to the passengers. The balance/unutilized amount against previous booking can be adjusted against the fresh booking. And any extra costs that would be accruing, will have to be borne by the passengers.
In case the tour departs from Dehradun as per schedule but gets disrupted, while the tour is ongoing, our team will propose the possible revised itinerary within the scheduled package days, but without any extension of days.
Any extension, proposed by the passengers, in the package will only be considered at an extra cost and subject to operational viability.
In case for 05 straight days flying does not take place, refund as per our policies will be made to the passengers.
In case of passengers get stuck at Kedarnath top due to bad weather or Force Majeure, the accommodation charges at Kedarnath will be borne by the guest directly.
Additional night halt charges will be payable by the passengers to hotels on direct payment basis if they get stuck for additional nights due to bad weather/force majeure reasons over and above the 5N/6D period.
Any increase in government levies or taxes, after the confirmation of booking, will be extra chargeable to the passengers. Payment against the same will have to be done before the commencement of tour.

Indemnity Clause

The customer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the tour operator, its employees, agents, and representatives from any and all liabilities, claims, damages, losses, and expenses, including legal fees, arising from or in connection with any unfortunate events, accidents, or injuries that may occur during the journey or helicopter ride.
In the event of such incidents, the NSOP (Non-Scheduled Operator Permit) holders shall be solely liable for any claims or compensation. The customer acknowledges that the tour operator will not be held responsible for any incidents occurring during the journey or helicopter ride, and the responsibility rests entirely with the NSOP holders and operators.
By booking this tour, the customer agrees to assume all risks associated with the tour and releases the tour operator from any liability arising from unforeseen circumstances during the trip.
