A full day to enjoy the best views of Rio de Janeiro and its main attractions! To reach the summit of Corcovado, we will take the train, and in a journey of a few minutes, we will traverse part of the Tijuca Forest, the world’s largest urban forest. Once at the top, we will be welcomed with open arms by the Christ the Redeemer, the country’s most representative monument and one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World. In addition, Corcovado will gift us with a breathtaking panoramic view of the city. Upon descending, we will explore the city, passing by the iconic Maracanã Stadium. We will make a stop at the Sambadrome, designed by Oscar Niemeyer, where the Rio de Janeiro Carnival parades take place every year, and the imposing and modern Cathedral of Saint Sebastian, built between 1964 and 1979, whose architecture is influenced by the pyramids of Central American cultures. Upon reaching the Selarón Steps, let’s get our cameras ready, as we will find ourselves in one of the city’s most famous and colorful postcards. For lunch, we will visit a traditional Brazilian churrascaria. Our day cannot end without taking a ride on the city’s oldest cable car to visit Sugarloaf Mountain (395 m), from where we will have a spectacular panoramic view of Rio.
