Guests Departing from Mumbai (Scheduled Group Departure)
Guests who have opted for the Mumbai to Mumbai tour will meet at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, Mumbai, four hours before the scheduled flight departure time.
From here, you fly together with Shree Swaminarayan Tourism tour manager to Baku and begin your beautiful journey. Upon arrival, the Shree Swaminarayan Tourism Tour Manager will assist you with all airport formalities and ensure a smooth transition to the hotel or sightseeing place as per the itinerary.
Guests Joining from Other Indian Cities
If you are flying from cities like New Delhi, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Bengaluru or others, please ensure that you have received your complete travel details like airline, flight departure and arrival time, airport name, passport with valid visa etc. from your Shree Swaminarayan Tourism Travel Advisor. You will fly to the first destination of the tour as per your individual flight details. Upon arrival your tour manager will meet you at Baku airport or at the sightseeing place conveyed to you in advance.
Joining & Leaving (J&L) Guests – From India or Anywhere in the World
If you are joining the tour from any part of India or overseas by making your own arrangements, please ensure that you have received complete guidance for smooth arrival, hotel check-in or joining at sightseeing place, from your Shree Swaminarayan Tourism Tour Manager as well as travel adviser. Tour Manager will meet you directly at the first destination as per the tour plan conveyed to you.
Important Notes:
For Joining & Leaving guests the flight tickets, visa, insurance and airport transfers are to be borne by guests. Please ensure all these arrangements are as per the scheduled group tour. To avail of the group airport transfers, we request you to ensure your flight arrival is at the scheduled group airport and is minimum one hour before the group’s scheduled flight arrival time. For last day your flight departure time should be after the scheduled group flight departure time to avail the airport transfers.
Note:
• Standard hotel check-in time is 3:00 PM (15:00 hrs) or later. If our flights are reaching in the morning, we cover one of the sightseeing’s to fill up the gap.
• We recommend you to take care of your travel documents, valuables, foreign exchange, and emergency contacts handy during your journey.
Today we visit Shirvanshah palace – a UNESCO World Heritage Site, was the former residence of the rulers of the Shirvanshahs. Later we explore Baku city, we pass by Old town – the historical core of Baku and the most ancient part of Baku, which is surrounded by walls which were easily defended, Maiden tower – a UNESCO world heritage site and a symbol of Baku city, Fountain Square – a public square in Baku city and a location where the city authorities hold many public festivals, shows and celebrations, National Flag Square – The flagpole was confirmed as the world’s tallest by the Guinness Book of Records, TV Tower – a free standing concrete telecommunications tower and the tallest structure in Azerbaijan and the tallest reinforced concrete building in Caucasus.
Explore Baku city
Today we visit Gobustan National Park – a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which is famous for the ancient carvings, cave paintings and gas stones. It is also home to remains of inhabited caves, burials and other human settlements from just after the last Ice Age through to the Middle Ages. Upon arrival we see Mud volcanoes – Azerbaijan is home to nearly a third of the world’s mud volcanoes. Later we proceed back to Baku. Upon arrival we take a photo stop at Heydar Aliyev Center – one of the signature architectural landmarks of modern Baku and Azerbaijan Further we visit Carpet Museum- the only museum that was dedicated to the art of carpet weaving. The main purpose of the creation of the museum was to store, research, and demonstrate unique examples of the carpet weaving art, Highland Park- well known as ‘’Viewing Square’’, Flame towers – a trio of skyscrapers in Baku, Baku’s long history of fire, worshiping provided the inspiration for the development of this iconic design. Later we walk through Nizami Street – one of the best places to roam around the city. Followed by a beautiful boat ride at “Little Venice of Baku”.
Today we proceed to Gabala – beautiful part of Azerbaijan with a rich and ancient history. Today we enjoy a cable car ride to Tufandag Mountain – the third highest mountain in Azerbaijan with the height of 13770 feet. We then proceed to Sheki – a charming city nestled in the picturesque landscapes of Azerbaijan. Upon arrival, we visit The Palace of Shaki Khans – which was a summer residence for the Shaki khans – who were in charge of controlling Shaki.
Today we proceed to Sighnaghi – often referred to as the “City of Love.” Upon arrival, we visit Signaghi City walls also known as ‘The Great Wall’ of Georgia has stunning views for taking pictures, and the city is surrounded by it and Bodbe Monastery – one of the major pilgrimage sites in Georgia, due to its association with St. Nino and gives wonderful views of the Caucasus mountains. Further we proceed to Kakheti – also known as the ‘Cradle of Wine’ because of its well-known history of wine making. Here we visit a popular winery and learn about the wine making process and taste some amazing wine. Later we proceed to Tbilisi – the capital and the largest city of Georgia.
Today we proceed to Kazbegi, also known as Stepantsminda, which is a scenic location in the Greater Caucasus mountains. Enroute, we stop at Jinvali reservoir, an artificial water reservoir located on the river Aragvi, followed by a visit to Ananuri Complex – nestled against the backdrop of pristine landscapes, features a fortress, a bell tower, three churches, and intricately carved curtain walls. Upon arrival in Kazbegi we visit Gergeti Holy Trinity Church – a stunning 14th-century Christian Orthodox church located on the slope of Mount Kazbek and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains, including the majestic Mount Kazbek. Later we proceed to Gudauri – one the highest mountain resort for Ski Sports in Georgia. Upon arrival we visit Gudauri Ski resort where one can enjoy winter sports activities like Skiing, Snow tire sliding, snowmobiling etc. on your own (Subject to weather conditions). Further we visit to Gudauri Panorama also known as Russia-Georgia Friendship Monument or Treaty of Georgyevsk Monument – the panorama is decorated with Soviet Style mosaics depicting Georgian and Russian heroes, farmers, fairy tales and communist symbols. The monument is a circular balcony hanging off of a 600-meter cliff with amazing views of Caucasus Mountains. Later we return back to Tbilisi.
Today we explore the capital city of Georgia Tbilisi. In the orientation tour we take a walking tour of the Old town, we pass by Tbilisi Sulphur pools, Bridge of Love, Bridge of Peace, Tbilisi Fortress, Tbilisi Clock Tower, Freedom Square and Rustaveli Avenue. Further we take a Cable car ride to Mother of Georgia viewpoint. The statue represents the strength of Georgia, in her left hand she holds a bowl of wine to greet those who come as friends, and in her right hand is a sword for those who come as enemies. The viewpoint offers views of the entire city of Tbilisi. Later we visit Holy Trinity Cathedral of Tbilisi commonly known as Tsminda Sameba is the symbol of new Georgia, isn’t just a magnificent architectural marvel; it’s a beacon of faith, history, and national pride. This colossal structure, with its gleaming golden dome piercing the sky, has become synonymous with the city itself, captivating visitors with its grandeur and spiritual aura. Later we enjoy a traditional folklore dance show with dinner.
Today proceed to Armenia – known for its beautiful landscapes, its cuisine, culture and history. En-route we visit Haghpat Monastery – one of the largest and impressive monastery complexes in Armenia, here we see the most characteristic features of medieval Armenian Architecture. Later we drive through Dilijan town – also known as ‘Little Switzerland in Armenia’, is a popular resort town which is famous for its amazing surroundings. Followed by a photo stop at Lake Sevan – the largest body of water in Armenia and the Caucasus region. It is one of the largest freshwater high-altitude lakes in Eurasia.
Today we proceed to Yerevan – the capital and largest city of Armenia as well as one of the world’s oldest continuously inhabited cities. Upon arrival, we explore Yerevan city, we pass by Republic square – also famously called ‘Heart of Yerevan’ and a happening place where commerce, shopping and entertainment are concentrated, State University – the largest and most prestigious university in the country and informally known as Armenia’s ‘Mother University’, Mother Panorama monument – the Mother Armenia statue symbolizes peace through strength, Parliament building – also known as The National Assembly of Armenia, is the legislative branch of the government of Armenia, followed by a visit to Cascade Complex – one of Yerevan’s most famous monument, connecting downtown and upper residential areas via a large staircase. Further we head towards Etchmiadzin cathedral – the center of Armenian Christianity, which is considered to be the “Vatican” city of Armenia. it is widely believed that it is the oldest Christian cathedral in the world. The cathedral was designated as a part of a UNESCO World Heritage zone in 2000. We then visit the Museum of the Mother Cathedral – “Treasury” which houses 1700 years of treasures collected by the church, including the Holy Lance (Surp Geghard), the weapon used by a Roman soldier to pierce the side of Christ on his way to Calvary.
Today we visit Garni, Enroute we stop at Charent’s Arch – named after the great Armenian poet and patriot Yeghishe Charents. It is believed that he often visited this place and loved to enjoy the fantastic scenery opening from here which truly gives stunning views of the great biblical mountain Ararat all day long. We then visit the Garni Temple – the only standing Greco-Roman colonnaded building in Armenia, Symphony of Stones – a natural monument located in the basin of the Azat River consists of huge symmetric hexagon and pentagon basalt columns (nearly 50 meters high), which seem to be handmade due to their amazing symmetry also referred to as “Basalt Organ Pipes”. Followed by a visit to Geghard Monastery – a medieval monastery partially carved out of the adjacent mountain, surrounded by cliffs. Also known as “the Monastery of the Spear,” named after the spear believed to have wounded Jesus at the Crucifixion. According to tradition, the spear was brought to Armenia by Apostle Jude and is now kept in the Echmiadzin treasury.
